Every new car sold in 2040 will be zero-emission, B.C. government says

Electric vehicle charging stations and electric vehicles are becoming more and more common on roads in Vancouver and throughout the rest of BC.
Having an in-home charging station makes it so much easier to get the most out of your electric car in terms of accessibility and monitoring your overall energy consumption. With an in-home charging station, you will be able to quickly start driving your electric car as if it was any other car you’ve owned in the past.

The proposed legislation in BC would require 10 per cent of all new light-duty vehicles sold by 2025 to produce zero emissions. That percentage would jump to 30 per cent by 2030 and then 100 per cent by 2040.
